As a part of Kansas Advocates for Better Care’s annual meeting and caregiver training on Sept. 15, 2017, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe, J.D. was presented with the KABC Caring Award. This award is the organization’s highest recognition and is awarded annually to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, advocacy and commitment to improving the lives of older Kansans needing long term care and support. Mr. Howe also gave a presentation on what his office is doing to raise awareness, prevent and prosecute physical and financial abuse, neglect and exploitation of older, dependent adults.
